My work explores the way in wich we look at the object of desire whilst knowing that the object is aware of the look placed upon it (by object I refer to the models within my recent films – See Elle Porno (It’s French You Know, Gold and Dressed to Undress.) This is particularly common amongst pornographers to use their actors in a way that the viewer feels like they are involved within the scenes presented to them. One of the key parts to my research is John Berger’s television series Ways Of Seeing from 1972.
